Ilford Inkjet Archival Print | 600mm x 600mm 1 of 5 (Edition of 5) POA   The studio photographer is the antithesis of the street photographer; shaping and isolating space, light, and order to control and construct new meaning via the transformation of inanimate objects. Questioning the status of documentary tropes, specifically the fidelity of street photography- this ‘collection’ navigates between the bi-polar tensions of perfection and imperfection, closeness and distance, truth and fiction, present and past, the seen and unseen, absence and pseudo- presence via the removal and re-imaging of artifacts. © Meighan Ellis 2014
